Bauhaus 100: Aspen: Events will kick off in January for this international celebration, which will commemorate the Bauhaus’ influence on Aspen. Bauhaus 100: Aspen will continue through August 2019.
68th Annual Wintersköl™: Taking place Jan. 10–13, this annual winter festival celebrating Aspen’s distinctive Nordic lifestyle will feature a rail jam, snow sculpture competition, live music, films, and fireworks over Aspen Mountain.
Aspen Gay Ski Week: From Jan. 13-20, the oldest annual week-long gay ski event in the nation will feature four mountains of various skiing and snowboarding terrain, cross-country skiing, snowshoe, and winter hiking trails.
Winter X Games Aspen: Two hundred of the world's best athletes will compete from Jan. 24–27 at Buttermilk. Musical artists Lil’ Wayne, Louis The Child, The Chainsmokers, and Kygo will perform live on the X Games concert stage.
If you’re searching for a charming place to enjoy a delightful meal, look no further than the new Eleven Madison Park (EMP) Winter House, inside The St. Regis Aspen Resort. The Michelin-starred New York restaurant Eleven Madison Park, which holds a top spot on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, recently opened this Aspen location, boasting a “yurt” village.
In Aspen and Snowmass, endless family-friendly activities abound. Snowmass offers incredible family-friendly ski runs, terrain parks, themed trails, and more. Buttermilk, home of the Winter X Games, boasts kids’ trails and terrain parks. Beckoning with discovery and adventure is the Aspen Highlands. Perfect for families with intermediate skiing abilities, Aspen Mountain offers many exciting features such as the Silver Queen Gondola, taking guests on a 15-minute ride to the summit.
