- Enjoy breathtaking views in a hot air balloon. Above It, All Balloon Aspen offers scenic, sunrise, and champagne hot air balloon tours of the majestic Rocky Mountains in the Roaring Fork Valley, near Aspen Snowmass.
- Tubing at Snowmass opens Dec. 20, 2019, and will be open every day through April 5, 2020, in conjunction with winter lift operations, as well as during Ullr Nights. You may purchase a tubing-only ticket or a combo ticket, which includes access to both tubing and the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster.
- Aspen Fly Fishing is one of the few guide services operating year-round, so they have the river to themselves. The techniques used during the wintertime are easy for beginners to master fly fishers!
- Go ice climbing and climb a frozen waterfall with Aspen Expeditions. Professional guides offer ice climbing for beginners and regularly take advanced climbers out as well.
- Pine Creek Cookhouse offers amazing adventures including snowshoeing, lunch or dinner on a horse-drawn sleigh, and more!
- Aspen Gay Ski Week is the oldest annual, week-long gay ski event in the nation, and features four mountains of distinctive skiing and snowboarding terrain, as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoe, and winter hiking trails in the Elk Mountains. It’s also the annual fundraising event for AspenOUT, a local non-profit and 501C3 organization focused on anti-bullying and tolerance.
- The 69th annual Wintersköl event, taking place Jan. 9–12, 2020, is a fun-filled sculpture-making event and canine fashion show, perfect for everyone in the family!
- The 2020 X Games Aspen, held Jan. 23–26, 2020, is one of the best international action sports, music, and festival experiences on snow. Live coverage of the event will air on ESPN and ABC.
