My wife, Amy, and I have seen many species of wildlife from our home along the Roaring Fork River. In the past ten years, we have seen Bald Eagles, Mountain Lions, Otters, Canada Geese, Blue Herons, Beavers, etc.
Until this morning, we have never seen a bear although we have been visited by them.
While having a cup of coffee on our deck, this yearling came out of the brush across the river and climbed to the top of this 50 foot Aspen tree where it began to rip off the branches. After about 15 minutes, it climbed down and found a berry bush to eat.
