Road Bike Trail – Rio Grande path
Ride 8.5 miles from Aspen to the Woody Creek Tavern for lunch, or all the way to Glenwood Springs and take the bus back

Summer Picnic Place – Benedict Music Tent for live music during the summer
Bring your blanket, a basket full of goodies/wine, stretch out and enjoy music with friends

Yellow Lab – Official dog of Aspen
Select your own every July 4th where the town’s yellow labs take the lead in the annual parade

Wine Purveyor – Of Grape & Grain or Catherine’s Store
You don’t see it, they will order it at Of Grape & Grain; and down valley, Catherine’s Store has a curated cellar

Breakfast – Poppycock’s
Pistachio sausage to die for

People watching – Hyman Avenue or Cooper Street malls
Follow the red-brick roads, grab a bench, and while-away the afternoon

Cozy, comfortable Ralph Lauren vibe, especially in the winter

Wowing out-of-towners – Pine Creek Cookhouse at Ashcroft by foot in summer or sleigh in winter 
The quintessential outdoorsy experience with fine dining

Try a “board”, especially the biscuit board; and unparalleled items to go from the market

A slice of the old west, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing; little known fact, the Yule Quarry in Marble provided the marble for the Washington

The real deal with CIA-trained chefs; secret is in the sauces (plus Cache Cache’s renown chef, Chris Lantner is part owner…so you know it will be quality food)

Motorcycle Ride - Black Canyon
Explore some of the most beautiful views in Colorado's Black Canyon in Gunnison National Park.

Camping - Lincoln Creek on the north side of Independence Pass
You will need an SUV to get through these rocky hills, but you will have an authentic experience in Aspen’s rugged outdoors. 

Fly Fishing – Gold Medal waters of the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork Rivers
Everyone has their own secret stretch of these rivers, but Ruedi Reservoir and Frying Pan Road have some of the best  

REAL Old Aspen – Lenado, Colorado
This enclave of homes is reminiscent of pioneer days; follow the dirt trail when the pavement ends on Woody Creek Road and experience top of the world views on this day trip, particularly at fall foliage time.
